    New house, a pile of wood, and a dead tree.

    I just moved into a house in the Memphis area and the previous owner was nice enough to leave me a pile of wood and a dead tree. Can anyone help me ID this stuff? I need to know if this should go in my new Lang 36 (should be delivered next week) or a fire pit. Thanks!

    I just moved to the Memphis area and the previous owner of the house left me a pile of unknown wood and a dead tree. I'd like some help to determine if this stuff goes in the fire pit or the fire box! Can/should I cook on this? Thanks!
