    Forum for appetizers?

I was just wondering to myself, "Self, I wonder why there isn't a dedicated forum for appetizers?" I know there is an ABT forum but I think the site would benefit from having a spot all about appetizers!

Seasonings/Rubs - Buy or Make Own?

My only experience with making my own seasoning/rub is for my "Steak Seasoning". I use quotations because I put it on everything, LOL! I got it from the Waltwins on YouTube. They call it "The usual suspects"; equal parts salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and adobo (without pepper). I...

    Baked Potatoes

Sorry it took so long to make an update! They turned out great! I ended up having to bounce the grill between 400 and 450 since it wouldn't set to 425. 🤷‍♂️ But it wasn't a huge deal. I gave 4 taters a generous coating of oil and kosher salt after washing and stabbing them. I put them on the...

    Baked Potatoes

I mainly need confirmation that I can bake potatoes on my Pit-Boss just like I would an oven. Normally, I bake a naked potato in the oven around 425 for 1 hour. I am hoping this same time and temp will work on my Pit-Boss. I won't have time to do a "low and slow" this evening and I don't want...

    Bacon wrapped chicken breast

Looks amazing! Did you add any seasoning to the chicken before stuffing/wrapping? How long did it take at 230º?

Peanuts in your coke, who remembers?

Takes me back to the old barber shop that my grandad, my dad, and myself used to go to. He had an old Coke vending machine with glass bottles. I am pretty sure that is the first time I remember putting peanuts in a bottle! Oh yeah, I'm 43!

First time making ribs on my pellet grill!

I decided to try cooking some ribs on my Pit-Boss PS850. I picked up 2 racks of spareribs and did a little trimming. I used Meat Church Honey Hog one one and a combo of Honey Hog and Holy Voo Doo on the other with mustard as a binder on both. I had the Pit-Boss going at 225 and it held temp...

What medium size griddle to buy??

Yeah, dad definitely didn't store his properly, LOL! There is a company that sells a plastic cover that goes right on the surface to help preserve the seasoning. For the life of me I can't remember the name. I've seen people use trash bags but I think those will leech chemicals.
