Kitchen's still a mess from yesterday , but here's a couple . You may or may not like it . Pulls together the black appliances .

I made the bottom piece . 3/4 with a round over on the front , and a rabbit at the back to fit the bottom rail on the cabinet . Then a small profile on top of that .

I have a 3/4 rip of plywood on top to close off the cabinet and act as a solid shelf .
Then ripped a piece of dimension lumber to hide the core .
2 5/8 crown under that .

Looks great! Looks like you taught him well! Admire your wood working skills as well! On another note of Gordon Ramsey cookbooks...I'm sure I'll end up with all three but do you recommend one as a favorite?Ok the boy kept his solo run going today while I was working in the shop.....this is his very first smoked prime rib! I’m pretty sure he has a new job to do in the house!
his progress shot

he did his own combo blend of spices Not sure what but tasty and then he ran the pellet smoker at 225......
He pulled it at IT 125 (about 3 hr 20 min) and let it rest for 12 min to slicing....

The beef looks good. Starting the Kids Young pays off. I handed all my girls a meat mallet at 2 years old as they stood on a chair next to me. By 22, 2 were Pro Chefs and the third an accomplished cook...JJ

oh man I would love to have a full wood shop, but I’m glad to have some space to work and having 3 shop vacs hooked up to each machine helps but always emptying them. One of my biggest challenges is getting good materials. I actually drove to a supply place in Utah to get what I wanted.....
It was nice:
I had a 2,900 Sq Ft Rancher, with a 2,900 Sq Ft Basement, with an extra block in height.
I got all my materials, Plywoods, Hardwoods, finishes, Hardware, etc, etc delivered to my shop.
Only bad part was I'd have to get Bear Jr to help carry 40 sheets of plywoods each delivery, and 1000' to 1500' of Red Oak, in 8 to 10 foot lengths, down 17 steps to the basement. (Not fun)
LOL---Had to carry all the finished Cabinets up the 17 steps too, but they weren't that heavy, since there was never any particle board in my all wood cabinets.
I closed it down when we moved, to help Bear Jr in his Tower Business.
It was Fun, but not as much when it's how you're making your living.
