Its a local meat market. I think it was a mistake, I know a butcher there and he called me and said get in here I can hook you up with a prime brisket for regular prices. I didnt ask any questions or get greedy ( I wanted a few ). Sams club has been carrying those sirloins for 2.57 - 2.79 lb.  Sure makes some good roast beef.

May be able to score brisket more reasonably for you, Richie, the closer to Easter we get.  Ham/lamb/traditional Easter meats tend to spike, and items like brisket tend to fall to spur demand and move slow moving product at that time.  Too bad you don't have Costco near you--their primes are also in that $2.70--$3.00 range, even up here in the Green Bay area.  The Texas boys have it good where they can easily get full choice packers for sub-$2/lb.
