Whats a good Thermometer for use under water while doing sausage?

Hey Mike.... I use a el chepo from wally world. Are you finishing up some hot dogs with a par boil?
 
I do hot dogs, summer sausage, and some bologna in a water bath and wrecked my last probe by submerging it.
 
Your messed up probe can be dried out to work fine.....  Water has gotten in the SS sleeve.... lay on it's side, in the oven, at 225 over night.... should work fine in the morning.....  Don't submerge the braided shield.... Use a candy therm......     Dave
