I have three of the acurites from W-M, like em just fine. All came thru the boiling water test within +/- 3 deg.

7-10 is this the thermo you have? I have 2 of them, work great and they do have a timer on them

where did you get that deboys i want that if that is really what i think it is a remort control thermometer ........where did you get it and how much i need one

the water test is putting it on boiling water and seeing what it reads ......water boils at 212 at see leave so if you are up or down you need to ajuest but it is a pretty easy way .........you can also do the ice water test just fill a glass with ice and water and it should read 32

Got them at Wal-Mart. That's why I thought maybe it was the same thing. They cost right around $15 back in the lawnb and garden area with all the BBQ supplies.

Almost forgot, yes they are remote. Kinda nice, you can take them in the house and still monitor temps.

Well, I know you can order them on their web site and have it shipped to the store. Go to www.walmart.com. Then on the left side click on garden and patio and find the bbq stuff.

I have both of those pictured and have found some walmarts carry one others carry the other have not seen both in any walmart yet. Wife went to Beall's one day and comes home and tells me they have the remote ones and they are on sale so I went and bought 4 more but this was a month or two ago might double check tho

Saw this at the local wallyworld. Looks like I'll be getting this for my grill level thermo.

cool im going to order 2 of them one for the meat temp and one for grill temp ........if people did not think i was crazy before wiht takeing pics of my meat now they really will

The walmart near me, had both of them. The red ones where in the section with kitchen gadgets, and the remote ones were in the bbq section.

I have two of the red ones, and one of the remotes, and they all work fine.

Try to keep you photos in the 800 x 600 pixel area and we won't have to scroll to read the post or see all the pic.

I had those acurites also. Had two that had the probes go crazy on the same day.

I emailed Acurite and told them what happened. They posted two new free probes to me right away

I also have one of the Taylors, same situation. They wanted $5.00 for a new probe.
