Though I do consider smf my home,I do find myself poppin into other sites from time to time.Sometimes finding decent stuff to ponder on often times not.I usually come right back home(smf)
Well this mornin I went floatin around, and came to a place ( which will respectfully remain nameless) that has a wise ol sage who doles out info on every thing from cold smokin salmon to how to properly push granny in her wheelchair.....At any rate, the more I looked at from this guy the madder I got
Its seems as though what we do is total nonesense and that true smoking is only done to preserve fish and is only done on the cold side........WHAAAAAATTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................Oh yeah,......and anyone who Quote "smokes a brisket should have their head examined" there is no such thing as a good brisket being that it is a junk piece of meat........Did u also know that mesquite is nothing more than a weed and is totally useless.....I could go on and on about THIS WISE OL SAGE for hrs but, I find myself gettin angry all over again tellin ya'll
Seems to me that if all of us can take a junk piece(brisket) and make it into something all of our friends and family devour, we must be doin somethin right

I too have ran into a few of them sites over the years. 1 that really stuck my craw was I found GOSM forums outta of Hawaii. There was only one way to smoke his way. This character got absolutely ignorant with people and rant on and on. I recently checked back and there last post was Oct 06. Its good to know there are well maintain sites out there.

I used to look at other sites too but then I figured with the amount of talent around here why bother. When I have questions seems somebody has the answer and these people actually know what they are talking about.

That's the innernet , anyone, anywhere, can start thier own forum about anything , and have like minded folks join in and repeat whatever mantra they are told

I also enjoy hunting , fishing , firearms , and a little bit of polute-ticks.
When I started , it took a bit to understand that not all who preach know what they talk about , after a few years though , I can sift through them pretty easy , some have more chaff than wheat , some ( like this place ) have already seperated most of that bushell

Ty- I wouldn't get angry at a guy that lost. I'd pity him because he will never enjoy a wonderful, tender, delicious piece of junk meat smoked over a dead weed for hours and hours and covered with a tasty sauce made from cheap catsup and some worthless peppers!!

He misses the point entirely that the beauty of BBQ is exactly to smoke cheap cuts of tough meat and make them taste like a million bucks!! Hell, I'll bet he's never even had an Atomic Buffalo Turd!! That just isn't right!! LOL and then LOL again!!

I agree with TY, I've been all over the net looking for a site where the members know or WANT to know the right way. But too many so-called Q-sites are nothing but smut shops.I have no kids around any more but I still don't enjoy some of the B-S that is out there. Bravo SMF you have earned my solidarity for sure.

Thats what makes our country beautiful.Our freedom to speech,our right to bear arms,And every thing else our troops fight for.............But I gotta tell ya,The guy had some noobs askin him some questions and he just nuked em....Felt bad for em.....I am glad I am here at smf....feel bad for those other poor souls....I am very thankful for all of ya that have been so kind to me and helped me come along way in a short time.
Any way just could'nt believe this guy was slammin what we do.Of course its the freedom of speech thing I know......But,this feller should be muzzeled
