Greetings from Minnesota. I'm a 56 year old who was born and raised in the small MN town of Stillwater. I've been an avid griller for many, many years (those are tator tots on the grill in my profile photo)...and have finally decided to try my hand at smoking. Just yesterday I ordered my very first smoker. After lots of research, I decided on the Smokin-It #2. I can't wait to take delivery, and to start expanding another part of my life.

I work in the tech department at our local Stillwater School District. (The same district my wife and I attended.) I've been employed there since 1980. My wife is a fantastic cook and an avid cookbook collector. Her collection is now up to about 950.

I enjoy woodworking, eating, motorcycling, photography, cooking, eating, helping others with technical issues, videography, eating, etc.

I'm so happy to have stumbled upon SmokingMeatForums.com. Can't wait to meet many of you and learn lots of new things to make me a better smoker.

 to SMF!!! Glad you stumbled upon us! Lot's of great people here to learn from but it sounds like you have a lot of good experience we can all learn from too! That's a lot of cookbooks, you should have plenty of good recipes to share with us!
