What has it come to. Needing a meat thermometer to successfully cook a steak?
There are two ways. Moo or burnt done. If one doesn't like moo. Then burnt it is.
Just kidding. Looks good from here.

Oh come on. That's not fair. So many folks like their steak so many ways. I'm not afraid to say I use a Thermo. But I also won't serve anything over medium.

If you want it more than a solid medium, there's a blowtorch in the garage. Have at it. But it won't be cooked on my rigs.

That's a fine looking slab of cow right there! I prefer mine about 5* or so warmer than that, but I'd still chow down on that. And them taters look tasty, too!

SWMBO got me a Thermapen MK4 for Christmas last year and since then my steak grillin had gotten much better. I'm wise to her ways ;-)

My GF and I had this conversation when we first got together, I asked how she liked her steak and she said “almost well”.....
in my confusion I asked WTH that meant and got “no pink but not dry”
I replied with “would you like me to find you a leprechaun too?”

The above situation took place with two prime ribeyes that were $20/ea sitting on the counter

I'd be happy downing a plate of that steak.

Point for sure
Chris

cooked to perfection! nice work.

someone here said this (sorry i cant quote it exactly). but the fine steaks for those who want them bloody, and the cheap cuts for those who want them well done. to me well done is a ruined steak. BUT my wife wants some impossible pink but not bloody steak...which is hard to cook just right...
