I got tired of splitting with the axe so I went and bought an electric 5 ton splitter from Harbor Freight.

in about 3 hours I got my whole woodpile split into perfect sized splits for my Lang. Thing worked great.

Was so worth the $223 and $7 shipping.

BBQing a pork butt tonight....I'm tired and glad I won't need to be splitting anything in the dark.

I have a similar unit from Tractor Supply.

I also have a wood stove so it really comes in handy

one of the best things I have ever bought

it it VERY powerful for what it is!!!

been thinking about getting one, but I don't have any real good "smoke wood" trees in my yard, and getting the wood delivered split is pretty cheap around here. Glad to see that it's a good unit. Is it built well?

I only buy split wood but its nice to have to split it smaller as some are still pretty big

the thing is built like a tank, weighs a ton
