WOO HOO!!!!! Dino Ribs

We did our errands this morning and one stop was to BJs Wholesale - I sent Big Al in to get the few things we needed and he came back with these....




Looks like (2) 5 bone racks...
He also picked up 2 racks of pork loin ribs.

There's gonna be some good eating here tomorrow...can't wait!!!!

WAAAAHHH. Our Winn Dixie got smart and I don't see Long Bone short Ribs any more. Really sad. You would not believe some store are selling short ribs that are no more than 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and trying to get well into the $3.00+ a lb range.  Occasionally I can find a deal, but it is getting rarer and rarer.  Have fun.

       Al said the cut short ribs were $3.89/pound yesterday, which is why he went back to double check these, and I am glad he did!

       $3.89... crazy.

It is crazy.  Our stores sell the cut ones for ridiculous prices.

I'm with you EllyMae, there's just something about the whole rib!

 Yeah, bout all we are seeing as of late. I did find some beef back ribs for $1.99 and some shorts for .99 that I posted about last time, but those reduced for quick sale. Starting to go brown, but I snap them up.

All trimmed, rubbed, and on the Egg.

2 racks with Plowboys Bovine Bold, 2 with Simply Marvelous Cherry.

I have 2 racks of pork back ribs - those are rubbed up and ready to go - also with SM Cherry.

After that, I have some chicken quarters that will go on. We will be eating good this week!!
