I do think it says a fair share about today's whacked society, that the earth should stop because a big-time athelete and celebrity cheated on his wife. but what do I know??
I heard a guy on sports talk radio say today, "Guess it's good that in Arnold Palmer's day - there wasn't TMZ."
I'm not implying aything about Palmer, nor do I know that the radio host was, but I think the point was made. What this really came down to was, Tiger Woods is an insane serial cheater who happens to be famous, and every channel in the universe covered this "prepared speech" today because that's what our society has become.
That's one reason BBQ is so awesome to me...it comes from old tradition, it's American - and it makes me think of the old days when no one knew what paparazzi meant ;-)
I don't care to watch awesome golfers on TV squirming on camera because they've had more strange than Mick Jagger. However, I would totally watch Tiger on tv PLAYING GOLF again, if all that was talked about was his game. Unfortunately, ALL the announcers will be talking about, is infidelity this, and indescretion that...it'll probably make me sick!
