Probably one of the craziest weekends in college football in a LONG time. My buckeyes pulled through but still need some improvement. I was really pulling for Washington to pull it off but USC was just too much.

Steelers lost there winning streak of 3-0 to Arizona

Diversions or no diversions, the Patriots are a machine. It won't get any better than them against the 'boys or Indy. Let the chips fall where they may. Talk about a collision course!!!

Down here in Gainesville was a sad sad saturday. Our gators got beat by a thread, again by Auburn. As of now, things arent looking too good against LSU. They could probably beat some NFL teams right now.

my POOR miseralbe Hawkeyes lost again.........crap......too soon to look forward to basketball season.........

least my CUBS are in the playoffs..........thats ONE brite lite in my life

my team is the Raiders......tied for the lead......at 2-2......so you know how strong THAT divison is

but my second team is indy.........Dallas Clark tite end. former Hawkeye.....caught TWO td's sunday.....and then sanders are on that team..........since Iowa doesn't have a proffesional team......unlesss you count the Hawkeyes.......so we call Indy iowa east.......

It seems we're talking college, so I guess I can post it here.....My boys (Texas Tech) dropped 75 points on Northwestern State and only gave up 7. That, boys, is an a$$-kickin. In addion, I think we all know how the Cowboys did due to the whining thread by one of our members (you know who you are

). Now if only the Stars can whip up on the Divealanche, my week will be complete!!!

red raiders rock w/ a no b.s. simple offense i have always taught to 12 yr olds being a defense stunt coach i hated it when pop warner outlawed common sense trick defenses. our jr hi & high school teams won 14 consecutive district titles- how do ya outlaw that....ya will be playing it later..... ok rant over...

yep, just have to have a qb with an accurate lazer site and a quick enough brain to progress through the checkdowns. Helps if he's a little mobile too.

well year before last we had a running back w/ a 4 td,400yd game average before the 1/2....this kid never played a down after the 1/2 until the finals....but come college- he was done... too small... go figger

yeah, I've seen that too. Tech is clearly a pass on any down team, even though they have a rb who can break it on any down. They're just not set up that way. The run once in a while to keep the D honest :)

i really hate to say it but tech plays a little league football(pop warner) offense w/ a simple stunt defense- its k.i.s.s. football- and thats why texas rules the football world- big boys keeping it simple....
see dallas cowboys offensive line this year- it's big boys cow tipping & a smaller smarter faster defense puching holes in a fence like a coyote.... watch the ball- not the man.

Hey skinner, cant say I was too upset to see the Gators lose. Not after what they did to my Bucks last year. Gotta give credit to that kicker from Auburn, a true freshman and he nailed it twice! And then to give the home crowd the big ol gator chomp, priceless! I'm waiting for the time a coach does that to a kicker and the kid misses the first one but makes the 2nd one, wont seem like such a great idea anymore.

Now that USF is up in the rankings I can tell people where I graduated from without hearing "where is that anyhow?" LOL

Yes big thumbs up for USF. I love to see those teams come up from no where and kick some butt, like Rutgers did last year.

Ditto. Both Alice and myself are alums and my 17 year old is in the medical honors program there and my 15 y.o. is starting there in the spring, and I still couldn't get tickets!
