Have fun and . . .

Very good sir. Can't wait! I have tried east carolina white BBQ sauce but not alabama. Is there much of a difference?
There is a huge difference my friend.

East Carolina = mostly vinegar and red pepper

North Alabama = mostly mayonnaise, horseradish, and black pepper

I have had both in their 'native habitats' and love both.  I like the Alabama sauce on pulled chicken the best.

In case anyone is wondering how to make this sauce, here you go:

White BBQ Sauce:

1 1/2 cups mayonnaise (Duke's preferred)

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp. water

1 tbsp. black pepper

1 tbsp. brown mustard

2 tsp. white sugar

2 tsp. prepared horesradish

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. garlic powder

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl with a whisk until thoroughly blended. Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Thanks for the recipe I will have to try it out. I can't remember where I got that white BBQ sauce recipe that I was talking about but it has no horseradish and does have a bit of red pepper. Anyway looking good.
