My husband always tried to get me to make fried ribs, but I was so utterly incredulous that the end result would be edible/chewable that I never tried them.
Juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs are coated in a sweet and savory sauce are baked to pefection. These sticky ribs are the perfect finger food for any gathering, and the addition of sesame seeds and green onions gives them a delicious twist.
It never occurred to me to deep fry ribs. I've always just done them in the smoker or the kettle, but in the dead of winter I may just try some in the air fryer. Thanks for the idea!
We did them for a catering once when somone asked for them. Luckily we did a trial run before the event. First time we did them without pre-cooking and they were tough. Second time we par cooked them by seasoning and wrapping in foil with some butter and putting in oven for about an hour at 325. Took them out and let them steam in the foil while cooling down. Took them out then cut, battered and fried. They were much better. We served them with a drizzle of cherry apple jalapeno glaze that we made. They were great.
