Ceramic grills claim that only their grills give food a taste unmatched by any other grills--plus the keep meats more moist and use much less fuel.
Is this true --how does it compare to say a weber dome charcoal grill?

Appreciate an answer soon in immediate marker for grill.

Gypsy I agree it's the cook. I claim to be a newbie based on experience, but on another thread someone said how can someone that cooks on a Lang be a newbie. Answer.... shoulda tasted the first couple of crap meals I did on it.

Learn the characteristics of whatever you use and modify everything as needed.

If you got the money, I would say to go for it on the ceramic. The grill doesn't make your food taste better though, that is the cooks job!

They WILL burn much less fuel though, as they are VERY efficient! They can also get to higher temps than the weber for searing. One load of coals can last 18-24 hours for a great low and slow too, and the temps can be very easy to manage.

You can go visit the ceramic grill websites to gain a lot more details on them. BGE, Primo, Grill Dome, Komoda Kamado...

On moisture yes you are also correct. I own a large BGE. I had a few "crap" runs getting used to the new equipment. Most were wood to charcoal ratio issues and also damper positioning issues.

Have fun and take care,

Brian
