I'd like to get a a-maze-n smoker for cold smoking bacon and sausage in my UDS or ECB.  I see there are two basic version the dust and pellet versions.  Which would work best for these smokers?

I'd also like to use it for hot smoking if possible.  This is making me think the pellet version would be best.  Any suggestions?

thanks

Glad to have you with us!

Yes get the pellet one. It will burn pellets or dust.

Can I apply that coupon retroactively :)  After reading everything I could find on the forum I actually ordered the pellet version late last night.

thanks

I would say as long as you have air flow, you can use either one in just about any type of smoker (including a cardboard box), for cold smoking and warm smoking, but for hot smoking, go with the AMNPS (pellets).

Got it today!  Planning on smoking some cheese ASAP.  I've wanted to do that for years, and never had the tools to do it.

Then onto bacon . . .

I think I shipped it on Monday and you got it already?

ENJOY!

Hmm, cold smoking is going to have to wait for the weather to cool down.  It didn't get below 80 last night, even the amazen smoker can't cold smoke when it is that warm outside :)
