I use a onn streaming device from walmart , it works great . Dont buy the streaming stick , get the box , they run cooler . If you want to get something other than cable check out philo . I think they have around 78 channels for under 30 bucksThis came up in another thread, so I didnt want to highjack the topic.
Ive been a roku user for decades, but have started to run into some issues with the Ultras. Nothing huge but real annoying. and roku was bought by Fox, and that tends to upend things.
SO: AI says Apple 4K + is the best and way to go. I am an iPhone user, hate macs. Seriously considering the apple option when they release the new version soon.
What do you use, what issues do you have, whats your recommendation?
That doesnt suprise meI didn’t want to start a new thread for this, but it’s possibly the first time it was so obvious to me. I was searching a product on Amazon via the app, later that evening ads for that product started showing. We have Amazon sticks everywhere. Never seen an ad for the product on tv before, definitely not a coincidence. BTW: Pressure Canner.
We use Roku streambars with their subwoofers on all 3 TVs. Excellent streaming and audio. We also use Tubi (a Roku channel).I didn’t want to start a new thread for this, but it’s possibly the first time it was so obvious to me. Love Tubi! The Oblongs, super old cartoons and 80/90s movies. We use Roku streambars with their subwoofers on all 3 TVs. Excellent streaming and audio. We also use Tubi (a Roku channel).
Woot has refurbished for $10. I went ahead and got it. Now got to fire out where to plug it in as all my inputs being used on my AVR.Glad you got it working .
For anyone interested in a Fire stick , amazon prime deal is 50% off right now . For 25 bucks I grabbed one for a spare .
I did the same a couple years ago . All Sony . Just had a software update , and re-ran the calibration software . I like the fact that it takes input on room configuration , ceiling heights and the like .The setup now is a 75" TV, a high end sound bar w/wireless satellites+ subwoofer,
Wellll.. I still empty the wallet every month for dish.(4 TVs. ) I actually pulled Cat5 from office head end to living room that has a 8 port hub for all my thingamajigs in the entertainment center.. If we want to watch streaming stuff Like the Fox-one app, or HBOMax,. I cast it from my ipad. never has issues casting. When we watch Amazon prime for a movie or sporting event I use the prime app on my Samsung TV. Surround sound isn't an issue, as I run the Earc channel from the Samsung to my Yamaha receiver. When I travel, Mama gets plain Dish or antenna, so I don't have tech support calls. This came up in another thread, so I didnt want to highjack the topic.
