What say you to chicken livers?

Speaking of ground meat I stopped in for the grand opening of a Grocery Outlet store near me. They had grind venison and more surprising something I'd never seen , ground goat. They also had 93/7 ground beef for $4.99 / lbs.
Taking a chance buying anything other than boxed or canned from that place and even then check the dates.

Ever since @jcam222 started this thread, I’ve not seen these at my local Food Lion where they ALWAYS had ‘em in the case.
Which of you is buying them all up now?? 😁

I'm planning on making them at least once a month moving forward

How do you make them Jeff?

I just sauteed some onion in butter, set them aside and fried the livers in butter with salt and pepper and when almost done mixed the onions back in. I'm going to try doing keto "breaded" air fryed in my new oven that has an air fryer too. Plan on pate as well. Also want to try wrapped in bacon

Sure do! Some ground round, onions, on a saltine cracker with salt and pepper!

I have fond memories of my family going to Oktoberfest put on by a German club every year (I'm of German descent on my father's side). My dad would always indulge himself on a slice of bread slathered with raw ground beef and chopped onion. Mom would not let us kids partake, though.

Never cared for it on bread... liked the texture with the cracker better. Several years ago when our small town still had a bowling alley the owner of grocery store would bring ground round, onions, bread, crackers for everyone... twice a year. When we bowled against them closer paid.

I'm not opposed to the raw ground beef thing' but it would have to be beef I ground myself. No telling what went through the store's grinder first.

I hear ya! I only buy it from our small town grocery store...that's because I know how careful they are with food safety. Otherwise I'd grind it myself.

I grew up having crackers and pickles with BBQ and also with sliced salami, Summer sausage, and other lunch meats. I still like that combination. Fast forward about 30 years.... BBQ competitions have crackers to munch in between entries.
