Getting ready to use my zinc plated cast iron #10 grinder for the first time. The tiny instruction pamphlet mentions oiling it to prevent rust after cleaning. Is mineral oil ok for that? Or, is there something else that works that isn't too spendy?

Thanks!

Pam's fine, but if you want to get really snappy, go to a restaurant supply store and get some food grad lubricant.

Mine is stainless, but I still need to lube the bearing points where the auger turns. I use EVOO. Can't get any oil more common (easy to find) or food-grade than that.
