I've decided to take the grind and welder to my smoker and try and convert it into an normal offset.
I've been looking into a good stack design and whilst doing research I stumbled across this video where the host is modifying an off the shelf smoker.
Here he is describing the modification he's going to do.
And here he is doing it.
Here part of the chase that intersects with the stack itself is effectively double walled, he calls his metal insulation.
I was going to add a triangular style chase to my smoker, but I also have enough material to double wall it like it's shown in that video. Is it worth doing? What does it add?
I've not seen it done anywhere else.
