This will make some of you homesick and the rest of you plan a road trip.

Goat,
Sounds like a great place indeed. I've always enjoyed my visits to Texas. The people, scenery and especially the outstanding texmex and brisket. Great times and wonderful memories. However, there's lots to be said about our emerald green water here in Florida and the great fishing. Then one could also rethink the midwest and up into the great lake region. Also, don't forget the rockies and west coast. And now that I'm thinking, how about the northeast in the fall, the mid-atlantic and then on down to my home in the south. And then, of course there's Hawaii and Alaska .... talk about extremes .... but absolutely beautiful. Come to think of it, we've got a pretty outstanding country here don't we? God Bless America!!

Bill I agree, there's something everywhere to love. I have a song on the puter voiced by John Wayne. I searched Youtube for it for all to hear...

Bill,

I have visited most of the lower 48 and agree that each has its own beauty. This song just so happened to be about Texas. Texas is also a nice place to visit and some of us don't mind living here either. Just my opinion and it might be wrong.

You know Goat I never realized how much I do miss TX. The Blue Bonnets along the freeways, I remember the first time I jumped out of my truck on the 20 interstate and stuck a Lone Star in a dead armadillo's arms. The stockyards in Fortworth, Billy Bob's, the first time I saw a Longhorn in a field. The Riverwalk in San'tone, Good ole Tex Mex music. Now I'm stuck in this Hell Hole. But you only get one mom, and she never turned her back on me. So I feel it's my turn to return the love. But "I'LL BE BACK"

That is a big 10-4 on the mom. They do not live forever.
