What direction do you carve a Turkey breast

Do you remove the breast from the bird and then slice perpendicular to the breast bone or parallel to the breast bone. Or does it really matter.
 
Personally, I think whatever you like, is the best way. I leave it on the bird to slice. People don't seem to like it when I can't hold the meat and slice it without also cutting my finger

Both work. I prefer to remove the breast from the carcas and then slice. I feel like I get a better looking product then.
 
I always go with the grain. Leave it on and carve it standing it stay put better!
