I have not had cable or satellite in over 20 years. When I "pulled the plug" I spent the equivalent monthly fees of cable in DVD/Blu Ray and now have 3000+ samples. Kids, crime, adventure, toons, comedy, series, military, SciFi, nature, PBS, you name it I have it.

At my age (74) I can see one of the many selections every year and not remember the whole plot if at all :-)

When not in DVD/BluRay land I watch over the air TV (OTA) and it's good enough without supporting the Cable / Sat TV crooks.
It's time to setup a NAS. I have a large collection myself and setup a Ugreen NAS with two large hard drives. My whole collection is now easy to access from any TV in the house without having to fiddle with the discs or worry about scratching them and making them useless.

It is like a personal Netflix but with my collection.

It comes with P+ Essential not Premium.
Paramount+ Premium includes
ad-free streaming (for on-demand content), the full Showtime library, live local CBS station access, offline downloads, and 4K streaming, while the Essential plan is ad-supported, lacks Showtime content, does not include live local CBS, and has no offline downloads.
Walmart Plus not going to do much for me as you have to spend more than $35 for the free shipping but it cost about the same as the Paramount would of cost so its there if I need it. Watched that Ep 3-1 of Dark Winds. I really liked that show.

Do they not offer grocery delivery to you? I use that constantly.

Just seen a new western series on Netflix that has promise called The Abandons. I looking forward to watching this.

Looking forward to this. “The first Christmas “ narrated by Kevin Costner. Airs Saturday on ABC, HULU and others. I’d post a link to the YT trailer but for some reason I can not.

I just finished watching "Beowulf, Return to the Shieldlands" on NF from back in 2016, and had a hard time not binge-watching it. I love the old-world European/Viking-style series. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. The Last Kingdom or anything viking based. The Witcher, Black Sails, or most anything vampire-based except for the teen-based vampire stuff like "Vampire Diaries". Although "The 100," which was teen-based, was very good.

I just turned on "The Adandons" to see what it was all about, and something interesting happened. My low/mid-priced Lenovo's audio sounds really good. I caught myself looking off to the sides, because there was surround sound coming from all over. I have watched plenty of streaming on here, but this sounded different. I must credit the video soundtrack more than the PC.

I was bored and started searching for a TV series I might have missed to add to my NAS.

I started from the 1950's and upped it every 10 years from that.

I went thru a lot of TV shows doing this. I found so many good ones I have in my collection but so many more that I would never add.

It is funny that the earlier they were made is the most likely that they are in my collection. The newer ones with few exceptions are included as well.

That shows you how the quality of TV shows has gone so far downhill over the decades.
