Joe Bonamassa's Sound Wave Beach Weekend, Miramar Beach, FL

Sounds great, heckuva line up, but cheapest 3 day passes would run just under $1,000.

Info here

I keep looking at the line-up here , and to my music tastes, this will be the music event of the year in 2026.

I've seen JoeB, Sam Fish, and Joanne Shaw Taylor in concert in the past 18 months.

I would go see Govt Mule, Larkin Poe, or KWS if they ever came to this part of the world. I don't think Govt Mule ever gets west of the Mississippi . I can't recall Larkin Poe ever being in Oklahoma, they might've.

And KWS was last here in OKC in June 2013. It was weeks after a terrible tornado in Moore that took too many lives, including 8 kids in an elementary school. KWS was already scheduled, but he changed his show to a benefit for Moore. He called Robert Randolph and Keb Mo and got them to participate. I already had tickets and I lucked into a great show.

However, the turnout was not very good, considering the quality of the show. And if KWS vowed to never come back to OKC, I would totally understand that.

Early Joe Bonamassa, in 2005 on the German music TV show , Rockpalast. Was in the basement of an old castle in Germany. A power trio. Joe was 28 yo here.

Covering a John Lee Hooker song, Burning Hell.

While I'm into the way back machine, JoeB from 2001 DVD " A New Day Yesterday " , was filmed at a place called Pierre's in Ft Wayne, Indiana, which was a live music venue/titty bar at that time. And the dancers were on stage as Joe shredded the guitar ( with clothes on ) . Pierre's is still there today, don't know if the dancers are still part of the venue.

How about some ROCK OPERA... I've always really really liked this song but never seen the video... Well once I seen it the other night I have been watching "reaction" videos of people that have never heard this song or seen the video before... I bet I've watched at least 25 different Reaction video's in the last 3 or 4 nights.. Some are really funny ...

The song/video is Meat Loafs "Paradise By The Dashboard Lights" ... After watching it search for some of the "reaction" videos... It's addicting...

I knew Meatloaf was somehow also connected to The Rocky Horror Picture Show and ended up down a rabbit hole reading about him. A lot of this stuff spun off of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust character in the early 70's and Meatloaf was in The Rocky Horror Picture Show 2 years before Bat Out Of Hell was released. He was actually in the stage production of Hair about the time the Ziggy Stardust character was created. I did not know that.

I didn't get introduced to Meatloaf until high school 79-83 but was already listening to Zeppelin, Sabbath, Edgar Winter, etc. by the time I was 11 or 12. Had a 19 year old girlfriend when I was 15 that ran with with that crazy Rocky Horror/Meatloaf theater crowd...crazy times...

Yes... Meatloaf was in over 65 movies and TV shows... That was before his music career ...

Then came the Bat Out Of Hell album... selling over 43 million copies... 3rd best selling of all times...

The best selling albums of all time (in millions): 1. Michael Jackson, Thriller (100+) 2. AC/DC, Back in Black (45+) 3. Meat Loaf, Bat out of Hell (43+)

Ellen Foley was the actual female singer on Paradise by the dashboard lights... Karla DeVito is the female in the video lip syncing to Ellen's voice... Rumor has it Ellen wouldn't do the video as she refused to do the kissing scene with him....

I have the 3 Bats Live dvd, its fricken great !!

Aspen Miller is the female counterpart, they get pretty frisky. He catches some heat from some for that.

A new release from TTB. I have " Mad Dogs and Englishmen " on 8 track tape , :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I miss Leon, I think I recognize Rita Coolidge among the back up singers.
