IMO, the 2004 Crossroads Guitar Festival was the greatest, because the great acts had yet to get too old.

Here's a young Jonny Lang, who pretty much disappeared from the blues/rock scene after this . He left a lot of fans wondering, but IMO, from what little I can find out, he became a family man and the life of a blues rock singer doesn't align with family and faith.

I won't post a link to them but who remembers Barnacle Bill the sailor(adult version) or the Rodeo song. Both are funny. but just can't be played public on a public forum in this day and age.

I was in the Navy, so yes, I know Barnacle Bill. Whenever we had a Crossing the Line ceremony (crossing the equator) all of the pollywogs had to know the lyrics.

And when I was stationed in San Diego, I would listen to the local rock station KGB. Yes, that is/was their call letters. They had a morning show, Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw, and they played the Rodeo song just about every morning on air. Of course, certain words were bleeped out.

And I was one of those fans.

I have recently got into listening to Impending Doom and Demon Hunter, but really enjoy listening to Barnes Courtney right now as well.

From the mid 60's to the mid 70's was the best music ever made. Almost everyone making a commercial today relies on music from that era .

Most folks probably remember the Joan Jett and the Blackheads version of this one.
