What about a Stumps clone from a refrigerator ??

Been thinking of trying to make one. After all a Stumps is nothing more than a sealed, insulated box with a charcoal chute on the outside. You guys see any issues with this kind of build? I've made a fridge with electric but would like to try this idea.

It will work great, Everything you said is correct. The Stumps cooker is a insulated sealed Box.

Main issue I could see is the Stumps & similar models have a pretty high temp where the heat enters the main chamber.  The fridge interior metal might not be up to the task of handling that sort of heat.  Other than that, it should work once you figure out how to handle the firebox and heat inlet area.
