Got an eye of round in the smoker, been fighting the wind and cold but it’s worth it, had to try out the smoker mod out with some food on it.

A frosty mug of Bells Oberon to help pass the time

About to throw a big batch of chicken on the smoker, will do so with a bottle of Dos Equis Amber. Windy here too but sunny in the low 60's, awesome day! Think I'm already burning the back of my neck, lol

First eye of round cook I have done, I wanted it on the rare side so I Pulled them off at 125 IT to rest, they are at 130 it now and holding. Will go in the fridge to hang out until later, probably some French dips in the near future.

Sounds and looks good. Mother nature doesn't want to play fair today so the smoker is sitting idle, but I do have a gansett in hand.

Point for sure
Chris

sorry to say the only thing in my smoker are empty racks, and Kool-Aid in my glass, this work thing really gets in the way

Smoked chuck roast today. Cool (49F), windy and rain. Just put the Camp Chef under the patio umbrella. First smoke of the year and the aroma is intoxicating, almost as much as the "450 Nugs" that is being consumed. Think I will switch to a Founders Porter now. About 1-1/2 hour to go.

Got the color right for what I want to do with it, into the freezer for a bit so it can be sliced

I spent 4 years working on the road 300 days/yr.... I feel ya. I have some catching up to do for all the weekends I worked, off the road now with smoke rollin every chance I get. We will have one for ya! Lol

Just finished smoking some pulled pork abt's with Sriracha Maple dipping sauce. I don't drink, so Golden Peach sparkling water gets the nod

The little woman wanted a cheese steak with the newly smoked meat.
Evoo in the pan, kosher salt and coarse pepper on the onion and peppers.
When they were done threw the meat in the same pan with some kosher salt and pepper.
Buttered up a French bread sub type bun and in the same pan to soak up the flavor of the onions, peppers and meat.
Everyone onto the bun with some cheese and under the broiler.

Ended up being an open faced sandwich, I go at but carried away with how much I packed in it, she didn’t bitch! All is good

Nothing today. Snowing at Niagara Falls. When I get home I'm hoping to get my build at least partially done.
