Western Washington newbie

Howdy, all. I'm new to smoking, though I've done salmon a few times in a Big Chief and it came out great. But that was a few years ago. I don't currently have a smoker but I'm probably going to get the Masterbuilt 40" propane smoker in the near future. In the meantime I'm doing a lot of reading & learning on this site. I live just outside Yelm, WA, which is close to Joint Base Lewis McChord. That's where I was serving when I retired from the Army and I stuck around this gorgeous area.
