Well, after all of these years, I finally did it.

I bought a new truck, holy cow it's nice compared to my 2006 2500HD, it's gonna take me a long time to figure out all the buttons, bells and whistles. These new trucks are way too complicated, it's a loaded 2026 GMC 2500HD Denali Duramax. The power these trucks have is insane, compared to my old 2006 Chevy 2500HD 6.0L gasser, not even in the same ballpark.🤯

Bad picture, it was to dark outside.

Beautiful truck and I'm sure it's gonna take a while to figure out all the options on that thing. World of difference in the power ain't it almost seems it's too much power at times. Is it light gray or blue? Does it have the adaptive cruise control I don't remember it they were putting them on the 3/4 and 1 tons? The last I knew super cruise was not an option on those but they sure have about every other option on them. I still don't really trust the super cruise and the adaptive cruise can be a pain in the butt last year we bought a 24 Suburban High Country and like you it's taken awhile to figure the stuff out and still not sure I use it all.
Awesome truck congratulations and good luck with it

GRATS ON THE NEW RIDE, IT'S ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND WILL SERVE YOU WELL! I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A GMC/CHEVY GUY, LOOKING AT WHAT YOU JUST GOT TO PULL A TRAVEL TRAILER AFTER WE SELL THIS PLACE AND MOVE THIS COMING SPRING TO WEST TEXAS. I HAD A 2015 GMC DURAMAX 2500 LONG-BED UNTIL THREE YEARS BACK, NEVER SHOULD HAVE SOLD IT. RAY

Very sweet ride! So many creatures comforts to make any ride enjoyable!
Miss my '06 Dmax and yes there's no comparison in power next to a gas burner!

Beautiful truck! Congrats! I'm still figuring out things on my 23 Colorado Z71. I have decided I love adaptive cruise and blind spot alerts. Took me awhile and I still hover over the brake if nearing a vehicle but it has worked flawlessly.

Hell of a truck you've got there. Living in Cali this won't affect you, but it seems like every Chevy or GMC truck in these parts gets a severe case of leprosy after about 5 years around the rear wheel wells. Even undercoating and washing doesn't seem to help. Fords, Dodges, and Toyota's seem to last much longer without showing any signs of the disease.

Enjoy, she sure is a beaut

It's light gray, and it does have the adaptive cruise control.
Since it was so close to the end of the yr the dealer made us a deal we couldn't pass up, including the bumper to bumper 7 yr extended warranty.
I drove to three other dealers, with the out the door price and what the truck came with to keep them honest, all three dealers said the exact same thing, BUY IT, one even went as far as saying if we didn't buy it he was going to buy it to sell on his lot.

Damn, I was so intimidated driving it home from the dealership, it seems like it's half a size bigger than the 06. LOL!!! I haven't driven it enough to get used to the new sight picture, I felt like I was gonna clip something on the passenger side. And holy hell, these things are tall. I barely got into one that didn't have running boards, and my wife looked at me and said NO Frick'n way!!! She said when your back is flared up that I'd need to call for a load assistance team to get me into the damn thing, she was right.:emoji_laughing:

Nice ride. Bet you gaze at it every time you look outside.

Bells and whistles?? Been there, still doing that.

We just parted ways with our '03 Civic (was not going to use Chineses parts to repair as none were available).

It was only last year (ie we had her for 21 years at this point) that we discovered that she had heated side mirrors. Found the button last year and wondered what it was for :emoji_fearful:

Ray, my brother, ordered his first Duramax a yr before they came out. He still uses it as his work truck, it has close to 500,000 miles on it, and it's on it's third Alison trans, he's super hard on trucks. It's been a great truck though, he also has a 2022. My family been a diehard GM family since day one. I owned a F150 in the 90's for 3 months, bought it on a deal that I couldn't pass up, against my better judgment, then proceeded to blow it up three months later, and never had to pay the remainder of the loan off.

It's gonna take me a while to feel comfortable driving this new truck, it's a beast.
Thank God for traction control, pulling out of the dealership I had to get on it a little bit, to merge into this Bay Area traffic, and I could feel the tires trying to break loose.:emoji_astonished::emoji_laughing:

It's crazy how different they are.:emoji_laughing:

With how big these trucks feel, I'm gonna need the bumper and blind spot alerts.
On my old truck I'd just inch forward until I tapped say a pole or wall, with this truck it alerts me with a vibration under my thigh and the massive, as I've been calling it, TV screen. LOL!!!

I've read about that Chris and that sucks, good thing even when we do go to the snow, which is rare as I hate being cold, they aren't allowed to use salt or the roads, sand only.

Congrats. I absolutely love that color
I was set on white, until I saw it, and my wife fell in love with it as well, which is a plus all the way around. Hopefully it will be my last truck, man they are expensive these days.
I put down over half of what they wanted for it to keep the payments down. I'm glad we were able to do that, as it will hurt a lot less signing the checks each month if I don't decide to pay it off sooner. I don't know how people can afford these things with small down payments, it's insane what these things cost these days.

Dan.

FT, Great truck, you'll love it !
Once I get over the intimidation factor. LOL!!!
If I'm not parking in a handicap spot, it's gonna be parked away from other cars for a while, at least until the new car smell is gone. LOL!!!

I priced out a new truck recently. I'll keep my 2006 for a bit longer, the new ones are ridiculous. When I get my house paid off, then I'll mortgage a new truck. Congrats on yours!
The only reason we were able to do it, is because we are now mortgage free.
Holy hell, these trucks are expensive, I was shaking signing the papers, I was so nervous.
(I loved not having a truck and car payment, while it lasted).
So I completely get what you're saying.
Dan.
