Hey everyone been a while since I posted any smoke events so I though I would post away.

First I got in my pin needle valve for the propane smoker and got that installed this morning after dropping off the new 370Z for detailing. Had a bit of a time getting the line off the regulator but Luckily a neighbor helped out. With that little valve I can now run the smoker at any temp I want!!!! Currently giving it a dry run and sitting at 200-207 with one probe on the bottom rack and the other on the top rack! Oh ya I also got the Maverick ET-732 Remote Check Wireless Thermometer With 2 Probes in from Todd @ www.amazenproducts.com. Once again thank you Todd SUPER service!!!

So about to head out and pickup a brisket and some other stuff to smoke for the weekend. Be back later with the Q-view.

Anyone else doing anything for the weekend?

Just pulled two pork shoulders outta the smoker & into the cooler.  Those are for Monday.  Did a chuckie for tomorrow, and did a bunch of chicken thighs for tonight's dinner.  That should just about get us through the long weekend!  I love having a big smoker!!!

Well I decided (while at the store...) to pickup a Angus brisket 6lb, Boston butt 6lb, some apples, and some cherries. For the brisket I had him cut it half so it would fit into the propane smoker. I marinated both in Stubb's Texas steakhouse marinade overnight. I took them both out this morning rubbed one with some apple wood spiced rub wrapped in plastic for tomorrow and the other I just coated in some brown sugar and put that into the smoker about a hour ago. I also deboned the butt put the same apple wood rub on and wrapped that for tomorrow as well.

The apples are going to go in tomorrow as per another members suggestion on caramel and brown sugar cored. And the cherries are for some Bourbon lemonade from another member's suggestions as well. Taking pic's along the way and should have some up tonight and tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a great 4th.
