I ran to Lowes to pick up some pellets the other day and saw Weber SmokeFire GrillMaster blend 1/1/1 Maple/hickory/cherry. Has anyone tried these yet? Middle of the road on price, $16/20lbs. More that the $16/40lbs I paid for the PitBoss but not not stupid $$$ either. I almost bought (I really should have) them but didn't want to play with an unknown. Interestingly they had the pellets but not a Weber smoker - or are those not out yet?

$16 for 20lbs is outrageous IMO. Most I am willing to pay for pellets is $20 for 40lbs. All the blends I've tried are basically the same flavor wise. Unless it's 100% hickory I wouldn't bother.

You are paying extra for the Weber name.

Just my 2 cents.

Not seen any around here and hit 2 Lowe's and 1 home depot Thursday, no new smokers at any Walmart around here or clearance stuff either, never seen any in late fall/winter ,the pellets made by or sold by Kingsford were about $15-$16 for a 10lbs bag, I bought a bunch for $3 a bag I think on clearance

It's hard to pass on my$9/20lb Lumberjack varieties.

Lumberjacks are $17 a bag in Denver. PitBoss at WalMart are the least expensive $8.88.

I saw the Weber stuff at Lowe's today. Came here looking to see if anyone has tried them. They are a blend which I am not a fan of either.

I like the lumber Jack blend, also bear mountain?

I seen a few flavors of lumber jack that aint available locally going to talk to a store manager and see if he can order some of the other 100% pellets, Mesquite and apple are listed as a 100% and not a blend, sure would like to try them
