I just won a 22 1/2 weber one touch gold on ebay. Does anyone know if it needs to be seasoned before using?

YOU are a lucky man...
It wouldn't hurt, spray it with some Pam and let it heat up a bit, even throw on some wood chunks!

Had mine for so long can't remember if I seasoned it or not. I have the "82" model and the one touch fins disintegrated long ago.

thanks for the fast responses. I guess it wouldn't hurt to season it.
And yes I do feel lucky. I won it for $74 with $19 to ship. And I used a 10% oft coupon form paypal. The cheapest I've seen them locally was $139 at home depot.

Congrats and as Bubba says it sure wouldn't hurt never know what may have been applied thru and after manufacturing better save than sorry

I also have that grill. Removing the ash catcher is a piece of art. You'll be greatful for the adjustable vent on the bottom. Congrats on a great grill!

nice find!! rich is right though have fun with the ash catcher!! that is an awesome grill and i do believe i seasoned mine a few years ago when i got it!
