We have had several members that I know of that have had them as far as I know all were happy with them but like you I don't get the high price
Double the price of a 26” would seem ball park but as far as I can tell it’s made exactly the same just bigger. Just scratching my head over this one. I don’t think the base is porcelain coated cast iron? Not like it comes with a PID controller.

I don't know for sure but I believe it's made just like the smaller ones at least that's what I was lead to believe. One guy that owned one use to come into chat quite a bit and the thing he raved about was how much room it had and how it cooked just like the smaller ones.

Who knew? That's a big kettle! You could probably do a double rotisserie on one, but for the price I'll never know.

At around 600 they would sell a ton of them. But idk the cost of producing so maybe not an option but dang that would be a slap ass kettle.

I'm sure they would. I've had a 22 for so long that the 26 was my idea of moving up, and I'm too cheap ( I've pi**ed away enough money to buy Miami) but at 600 it would really be a better deal than the 26.

Well a 15-1800 kettle vs a 1000 Grilla mammoth insulated cabinet is a no brainer, if only the cabinet would come back into stock. Comparing the two is nuts as far as price point and capability.

Well, to be honest, I've certainly spent more money on dumber things but if I had a use for it I would buy it. I checked one out at Ace Hardware and it was quite impressive.

I've never seen one in person. That might be dangerous! I have no need for a kettle that size but need has nothing to do with it.

WTH? I never knew there was a 37” Kettle. Anybody have one? I first saw it on Michael Symon’s tv show. I looked it up, it’s over 1800 bucks on Webbers web site it’s on Amazon for around 1500 bucks but really? That’s insane to me price wise for a kettle even if it’s 37”. 6-700 maybe but no way 1800 bucks. What am I missing?

It's simple, you usually get what you pay for. If I were to buy a 60" Lang smoker, I would get blasted by some people for buying it, but I would be busy entering barbecue competitions using a sauce I developed myself. I'm a doer. I don't trouble myself by getting concerned about what talkers say

All fine and dandy. To me though it’s about value.

Well, wnat anyone thinks of as value can be effected by their budget. I'm sure people who actually own one of those 37" inch kettle grills has some serious cash to throw around. I would love one, but a Lang smoker would be my first priority if I had a lot of cash to spend on a hobby.
