So, in the market for a new grinder. Not in a rush, just starting the journey. We are looking at Walton's #22 or #32. It's really hard to find NEW, non sponsored, reviews on anything anymore. So, I'll let those who have one comment here.

Pro's and cons of the Walton machines? Not just "it grinds really well", but customer support, getting parts, etc

We are also looking at LEM and MEAT.

Thanks!

Curious as to what feedback you get. I don't own one but don't remember ever hearing anything bad about them... plus they've been around for a long time. A ton of 5 star reviews.
I did buy a Cabelas # 32 grinder several years ago and it's a workhorse! Like you, friends of mine had one and I trusted their input.

No reverse on LEM's, game changer? I know the headaches of jams.

I wouldn't think so... only time I've used my reverse is to pop the grinder plate loose if I can't get it by hand... greasy fingers.

The one issue I have with the LEM #22 is the guard in the meat tray. It makes it a pain to feed meat under and makes it harder to clean the tray when I have to clean under and around the guard. The space between the tray and guard is small enough that getting a couple fingers and wash rag stuffed under it is about impossible. It's just a stupid after though guard.

Weston nor Walton's have a guard and it appears that MEAT has a removable guard. My hand isn't even close to fitting in the grinder throat and someone with smaller hands would have to jam there hand down the throat about 8 inches to even get there fingers into the auger. This is one safety item that I might just have to delete.
Mine got removed... only my wife and I run it... not that dumb to stick my hand in it! Plus as you say it's deep. If you don't have one already I would recommend a foot pedal... used my grinder once, then ordered the foot pedal. Think mine was $50 when I bought it. Otherwise I think it was Fueling Around Fueling Around that built one for pretty cheap.

I have the Cabela’s and it’s been a great grinder. Model 22 1 hp. I’ve put over 1000 pounds through it. There 550$ I can hardly keep up with it on the 3/8 grind plate. It can grind whole chicken breast with out being cut up.
