FYI - one 75 yd "wide" roll of HD Reynolds Foil did my last 27 butts. We ran out for the leftovers, so had to run across the road to get another.

Be careful those rolls come in all sizes 37.5 yds, 75 yds, 150 yds - and Wally has Reynolds heavy STRENGTH, it is not Reynolds Heavy DUTY!

You got to watch those rascals.

Boston,

you are right, but I can imagine the conversation in the Bentonville conference room:

Reynolds guy says, "Mr Sam, I can't lower our prices any more - we are at rock bottom"

Wally says, "Mr Vendor, Make it cheaper or we will go to China!"

"Mr Sam, we can make it thinner - will that work? They won't know the difference."

that will work Mr Vendor - now get to work!

"yes sir. thank you sir."

That is bidness today.

Buy the Heavy Duty and be Happy.

Thread moved to General Discussions, found it in the Sauces, Rubs & Marinades

Heavy strength is becomming mor of the norm, heavy duty is tougher to find. There is a difference. If ya got some money, you can get the BIG roll at Gordons for $140. it will last a LOOONGG time, and is cheaper in the long run, I think it is 1000, or 2000 feet.Problem is, it weighs about 30 lbs or more.

Like they say... read the fine print.

Can always "double" or "triple" any foil wrap. Just need to determine what is cheaper. Do I buy the "good" stuff, or go cheap and do the double or triple.

i personally spend the $120 for the commercial size from Smart n Final for the heavy duty. 24" wide and 1500 feet long. ive had it 2 years now for my Dutch oven cookina and all the smoking i do and barely made a dent of the roll even whith others asking for foil at DOGS and other events i do year round. if you have the money go get a commmercial roll its worth it!
