I am doing my first try at the umai dry cure and will be using my foodsaver vertical vac sealer to seal the bags. From what I am reading, these sealers are not the best option, but its the only one I have.Anybody have any tips for using this type of sealer. Its the 2in1 v 4825.

Joe, are you sealing across the whole width of bag with the vacmouse? I have seen where they seal a corner without the strip, then seal the reminder with a vac strip in.

Dealing a corner is required if the bag is wider than the heat bar. Also important is helping the machine by squeezing out sir as machine vacuums. Need full contact of bag to meat.

Thanks......I thought that was the case.I have a bit of time to get it figured out....only put in the cure a couple of days.
