hey gang,

Would like any constructive input on these type of bags. Long term storage comparable to vac seal bags? I found some I purchased from a butcher supply and wonderind if using them is good idea. Don't want to regret using just because its easier to pack loose (sticky) sausage in these rather than a vac bag. It did seem to be a pleasant experience using my stuffer and these bags with a sticky sausage for patties later on.
Any help good or bad news, appreciated

Don

Long term I vac seal . I have some bags , different brand . I stopped using them . Using the bag long term had an off taste for me , but Like said , different brand .
I go through so much bulk pork and beef , I just wrap 1 1/2 pound batches in plastic wrap , then I use resealable vac bags I bought from InkBird .

Bag can be open ( blue strip ) then sealed like a zip lock and revac'd . There's a valve on the bag . I use that hand pump ( better eat your Wheaties ) or can use your vac machine if you have the hose with the bell on the end .
I think they sell them as Sous vide bags .

The Clarity Camo Wild Game Bags are good for short- to medium-term storage, especially for sticky sausages, as they allow easy packing. However, for long-term storage, vacuum-seal bags are superior at preventing freezer burn and extending freshness. These bags will work fine for a few months, but for optimal preservation over time, vac-sealing is recommended.

I use the 2lb version of those bags for hamburger meat, twist and seal off with tape dispenser from LEM. For HB meat I am going to use within 5-6 months those 1 and 2 lb bags are great. I also use vac seal bags for long term storage.
