Venison Jerky - First attempt

Let marinade overnight - water, brown sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder

Smoked with apple chips at 150 for about 6 hours. Came out great - passed a few peices out at the office and was a huge it. Only did a pound - have 4 pounds defrosting for next batch (:


 
You can make yourself sick or worse! I think you'll have to buy your cure # 1 from a supplier like  sausaugemaker , butcher-packer ,allied -kenco or PS seasonings to name a few. Not sure where to buy mortons tender quick cure. Nice looking jerky! You're hooked now .
