Hello there,

Would anyone know if I can use hardwood as the fuel for BBQ/smoking in my Weber 22" One-Touch? Is the metal too thin for such an application? The hardwood would be on a rack/grill. Would it be more advisable to perhaps use a combination of small pieces of hardwood mixed in with charcoal? I don't want the kettle to get too hot and have it warp on me.

Just curious, thanks...Ken K

I use hardwood and charcoal all the time without any issues.  I've never tried all wood in the kettle, but I have in my CB w/ SFB and it works fine.
