One year we got Tony (cant remember how to spell his last name but you all know who he is) Turkey Injection Marinade, Creole Butter flavor, didnt like it, it was totally yucky.

Today in Wal Mart I saw another flavor he had for ham, and I think I am gonna try it in one of the turkeys. Will let you all know how it taste. If it taste yucky too, I'll be on here right away *****in' about it.

Lisa, I use this exclusively, try it! It is not hot and it is not too "Creoley"...

Injection Sauce

1 - small bottle white Worchester sauce
1 - small bottle Crystal hot sauce
1 - 2 oz bottle onion juice
1 - 2 oz bottle garlic juice
1 - stick of butter
2 - tbs McCormicks (or equiv) creole seasoning
splash of lemon juice

Note: Quantities of creole seasoning and lemon juice are approximate and can be adjusted to taste.

Directions:

Install all ingredients in a sauce pan, heat until butter is melted.

I have never seen that stuff? Where would I get it and how is it different from the regular brown stuff?

I'm going to do something similar to Shell

butter
maple syrup
chicken broth
onion powder
garlic powder
ground white pepper

i am also brining it in my orange juice maple syrup brine

and I am going to rub it down with a homemade rub, something simple like onion garlic and some other spices

I'm going to use orange wood to enhance the orange flavor

Cant wait!!!

HEY GYPSY.........wasn't that YOU wondering WHY inject a bird......put holes in it so the brine and such stuff WOULD RUN OUT.......hmmmmmm

I keep mine basic most of the time just garlic powder, onion powder and cajun spice. Of course that being said my cajun spice blend is this:

Deejayâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Cajun Spice Blend
1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
1/4 Teaspoon white pepper
1/4 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Ruby Red 100 paprika
1/4 Teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

I use this like table salt!

Actually Lisa I have seen this in area King Soopers. Although I guess Denver would be "north" of you so maybe it is just a "Northern" thing.

I dunno, but it is rilly good, no matter who won the war...

It is a whole lot different than the "regular" Worcestershire sauce you are used to... try it, you'll like it. As the label boasts "For Chicken", but it is also advertised out here for fish.

i use chicken boullion and other spices that are lying around.. but definitly OLD BAY and maybe a smidgen of tabasco
