i dind't do the foil pack.......was worried the fire would get too hot and melt the foil............

i read here on other threads........use a coffee can........tho that depends on the height between fire and waterpan.........

you mite have to cut it down.........i do it this way.........and no more poofing

Deb the guy said 2.29 a pound but if i bought 60 pounds it was 1.99 a pound. But he would only sell whole boxes of 60 pounds.

Goofy guy but those are the prices that rocky and I remember.

I'd jump on that in a New York minute! That's about what I pay for 3 bellies. Like getting 2 or 3 for free. Maybe some of the guys down there want to buy one too? If I were closer I sure would!

You'll be surprised how quick that stuff walks out the door! We got 6 slices out of the last belly and it's gone ...

Im not through exploring all my sources. When i find something, Then ill get the fla bunch to go in if they want. Ill put the trailer on my kawasaki and bring the stuff south.

That is of cours if i can find what i want.

Im an old school Italian bargain hunter.
So far I have not found one Italian bargain though.

If anyone's in the Erie, Pa. area..bellies,whole or half are 1.89 a pound at Giant Eagle. They are also Pitsburgh & Cleveland area too cause thats what I buy. If you go to a meat wholesaler you have to buy more weight but get a better price!
No offense but that looked like a smaller piece for 12.75 tThats high for here
