Looks good! Ive never made a brisket that wasnt smoked. But - I might now.

Would make a good cold winter dinner. thanks for sharing.
Oh man, it makes the best pot roast you'll ever eat. I don't much care for traditional holiday meats (turkey and ham) so I've taken many a packer and a huge foil pan and made brisket pot roast for the fam to go along with their poultry and pig.

pot roast, beef stewing meat, IMO it can do anything except be grilled like a steak and I guess if you soaked it in bromelain you could even do that.

I'll have to try it if I can get it.
I haven't tried it yet , but I'm thinking green bean casserole .

Or Sv'd . I'm getting close , not quite there , but close . That's a thought . Maybe some pineapple in the bag next time .

A great fix-it-and-forget-it type of recipe. I would imagine the sauce would be pretty decent on mashed potatoes. Good job.

That’s a throw back to the 70’s or early 80’s for me too. My mom did a 7 bone chuck like that fairly often, brisket occasionally but one thing for sure it was always delicious. That’s nice solid work right there. Fantastic table fare.

Thanks Jim. My Wife puts the gravy on mashed taters, she loves it.
