Help...I've got a 11.4# black angus tri tip that I'am going to smoke need temp. and other info.gregbfc
 
That's a giant tip! We like ours cooked to rare medium rare. Take to an IT of 130-135. Foil and rest 45mins before slicing. 50/50 mix cherry pecan. I like to run my smoker around 285.
 
I am going to us my b-sugar rub and @ IT 100 foil with F-sause for the last IT of 135 hope all turns out well
 
I don't think you have a tri tip. Are you sure its not a big sirloin roast or brisket?
