Picked up a new grill today, my first pellet smoker. Got it assembled in about 45 minutes by myself, went together easy. Unfortunately it's raining here today so I won't be doing the burn in, hopefully tomorrow. I also picked up some Furtado pellets on a recommendation from the sales person and will post how it goes but I will have nothing to compare it too.

Thanks guys, I managed to get the burn in done between rain storms on Sunday so this coming weekend I'll be good to go. I've got some tri-tip in the freezer that I'll take out to do.

You can always throw some burgers ot chicken on there for a quick cook, nothing sez you have to do lownslow lol

Unfortunately I've got stuff planned every night this week so it is going to be loooong, but I'm thinking of maybe some chicken wings Friday night, ribs Saturday and tri-tip Sunday.

Definitely, do some cheaper cooks to get a feel of it. Temps will swing, vary some side to side, ect. Pellet grills are their own sort of animal. I would do some "seasoning" runs on some burgers, bratts, and chicken wings.

That's a good idea sweetride, my first cook I was planning on putting in the 2 ambient probes from my iGrill and the 2 from my FireBoard just to check general temp differences.
Richard I've been thinking up some ideas :emoji_wink:
5Grillz I've been doing a lot of smoking this year so far, just haven't posted much as most of it has been ribs. I've done over 100 racks of ribs on my 2 UDS since January, not all for me, that is why I got the bigger grill.
I'm beyond addicted, but I heard admitting you have an addiction to smoking meat is the first and only step. :emoji_sunglasses:
