Too Much Smoke?

Will it be ok to use wood only in a Lang Smoker? It just seems like it would be alot more simple to use it for the heat and smoke.

there are ALOT of stick burners out there. Side fireboxs that are 18" or more usually are stickburners.

We have cooked on campfires forever, so heck yea Q on wood

You got a lang, you got a big firebox! The only reason I'd use charcoal is to get the wood burning! What kinda rig ya got?
