Well Canadian Bacon in thr trash can cold smoker. Finally got some decent weather. Snow forecast for Monday and Tuesday, low of 18 f.....

Used Morton recipe, extended the time.

Blower back on? Son said 9" in Bismarck and I think you got more...
I did not, thought about it a couple times while wrestling the walk behind. Forgot how much work that is compared to the rider.

Wow that stinks Wade, but I have to say it. Better you than me. LOL

It really varied across the swath that crossed the region. Bemidji got a foot and Grand Rapids got a couple inches
Wet & heavy, too. Son was towing a skid steer to the next job and almost lost it going down hill when the temps dropped and everything iced up.

It was 84* in SF this weekend, I've lived in the SF Bay Area my whole life, and never remember wearing shorts, tank top and flip-flops this time of yr. I have had my spring time seasonal allergies two months earlier than ever. I can't wait to escape to a State that actually has four seasons, like we used to get here in CA.
It's been miserable here, I'm nowhere near ready for our summer time heat.

Less than 16" of snow in Denver this year. Our average is 57". I usually look forward to summer but not this one. I'm already dreading all the fires we are sure to have.

Of course I was off for surgery for 2 months and it doesnt snow at all. I go back to work and my third Friday back, it snows in Wyoming and shuts the highway down and I had to turn around and go back to the terminal. :emoji_rolling_eyes: go figure.

We had one of the heaviest amount of snowfall here in quite a few years. Now we're having flooding in areas from all the rain. And this bouncing back and forth with temps is pretty wild. 70's and 60's until yesterday. Snow tonight and tomorrow then the temps go back up.

Can't wait for spring.... been a long winter and got more snow yesterday.

Will take my mind off the weather today by prepping a pork loin for Canadian Bacon seasoning a new cast iron pan, and making beef rouladen.

I look forward to being able to sit outside anf grill something !

Soon I hope.
Beef rouladen is such a classic comfort meal, and prepping that pork loin will be well worth the wait once the weather finally clears up.

I hear you, as our snow fall/pack on the western slope is dismal as well, ....... BUT....

The Meteorologists are predicting a Super El Nino in the coming months and if that is the case, we should have a really strong Monsoon in July through September... and then a really wet Winter of 26-27.

Now, that doesn't help the Colorado River or the folks in Arizona and California that count on that, but I am hopeful that we get plenty of rain this year and that the forests stay moist.

........

Here is what we are facing Thur-Sat.... !!!

A low of 15 degrees F and up to 4" of snow.

This village is 16 miles from me.

Obviously it compacts, melts, blows away...., but still some snow.

Temps back in the 20s on Monday and Tuesday...

Yesterday, sitting on the porch. In the 70's. This morning...................SNOW!!!

That sucks Steve, but at least this time of year you know it is not staying long at all.

Finally starting to warm up here a little bit, still cold ay night,
but will not stop raining, glad 90% of my work latly is inside. Even at the property I'm still working inside.

Yeah. It is warming back up Tuesday. Yesterday would have been a great day to get some stuff done. But my knee has been giving me some trouble for the last few days.

But my knee has been giving me some trouble for the last few days.

I hear you on that Steve, I twisted my knee ( they have been bad for years because of work ) last Nov. and it was bad . So bad I had a limp all the time.

Finally got to see a sports and arthritis Doc. a month ago. He gave me a couple of shots in the knee and some perscription oil to rub on it twice a day, Pain is gone and so is my limp. But I know it is just a bandaid fix, I will need to have something permanent done in a year or so.
