Tip Top Temp

I picked one up last fall after seeing a video on it and am impressed how well it works on my kamado.

Anyone else have one of these?

I do, and I use in on my Kamado, it works great.
I kept reading about how easy it was to set the factory vents and forget it, but I struggled to set and maintain the cook temps on mine until I installed the TTT device.
After cooking a ton of baby backs and pork butts mine got loaded up with smoke and grease and stopped working properly so I soaked it in vinegar and hit it with a toothbrush to free up the flapper, then it was back to normal.
Only problem was that I washed off the numbers which indicated the temp setting but at that point I knew where I wanted it set so no worries..

A trick I heard was to get your grill to the desired temp then close the flap and it would maintain the temp at that point if you don't have the numbers on the dial. I've not tried that yet as I've only used it a few times.
