Throwing down some Salmon

Debated what to do for this throw down…Knew the competition would be tough from you folks. Then I saw @TulsaJeff cherry smoked salmon. It was decided.

Brined in kosher salt, brown sugar, and a dash of red wine vinegar over night. Soaked a cedar plank in water for a few hours and onto the kettle with a scattering of cherry chips. Did my best to keep it at about 200 degrees (hard work there).

when the salmon was getting close started on the sauce for the pasta. Didn’t get any pics of that. Basic Alfredo sauce With angel hair pasta. Cut the Halloumi cheese into planks.

Grilled that as the salmon was finishing. Cut the tomato into slices.

Plated it up with a balsamic drizzle on the cheese. First time ever cooking salmon. Was amazed at the depth of flavor to it.
Just want to thank those that voted for me. as I said it was some tough competition.

Nice salmon fillet! Looks perfect.
 
Oh man Jim… huge salmon fan here and that looks phenomenal my friend! Nice meal all the way around… I could hit that plate hard! Real nice TD entry!

First time for me...Next time I'll get the fire a little hotter for it. Was trying to keep it down for the salmon. And I see why they call it "squeaky cheese".

Looks great Jim, nothing wrong with that plate of food.
I will have to see if I can find that cheese . As I will have to wait a few years until I retire before I start to try and make my own cheese . lol

Wow Jim, that is a fantastic looking meal and a very nice entry. Well done my friend but when I drop in you best have about 5x that much salmon going :emoji_laughing:
