I love hitting thrift stores, and it's a dangerous hobby because there are 4 within a 5 minute drive of me.

My favourite scores are always Cast Iron pans. People donate them because they don't know how to use them, or there's some rust on it, or caked on grease. All of this is super easy to fix if you know what you're doing.

I've completely converted over to using only cast iron pans, for about $5-$10 each.

Cast Iron goes fast around here. A lot of collectors.
Wife had me take her to a Habitat for Humanity Re-sale store last week. She wants to replace the flooring on the deck. The deck boards they had advertised turned out to be siding.
While looking around I spotted a pair of Weber charcoal baskets for $2. They're mine now.

At this point in my life I've giving more BACK to Goodwill than I am buying. But now that I've caught the smoking bug, I suspect I'm going to stumble across some goodies. Just yesterday, snooping deep in one favorite store, I came home with four new Lau Kingdom grill mats-- $1.99 for all four ($16 on amazon), a new Grillpro Grate Wire cleaner for $4 and this bit of potential deliciousness. Like new. $4.

Of course I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my biggest score from last summer that started this ball rolling: A barely used, like new 22" WSM that I picked up for $225 from a listing on OfferUp.

I do get excited about good finds. Hope others will discover this thread and add to it!

That "Marinades, Rubs, Brines, Cures, and Glazes" Book is my favorite of your finds!!!
